Youth Baseball Renovations

MANDAN, N.D. – On Monday, November 14 the Mandan Park Board approved KLJ Engineering and Planning Services to design new concepts for Mandan’s Youth Baseball Diamonds and Faris Field.

Mandan Baseball Club plans to make updates to the existing Diamonds 9 and 10 located at Mandan’s Youth Baseball Complex. Plans include a new press box, new grandstand, upgraded dugouts, back stop and fencing on Diamond 9. Diamond 9 will be home to the Junior Varsity and Babe Ruth teams. Diamond 10 renovations will consist of installing a turf infield that will allow all levels of baseball to play. Other upgrades include installation of a batting cage between Diamond 9 and 10. Other alternates consist of: turf outfield for Diamond 9, turf infields for Diamonds 11 and 12, new scoreboard for Diamond 9 and netting system for left field line on Diamond 9.

The Mandan Park District has committed $500,000 for upgrades at Faris Field. These updates consist of two dirt infields with grass outfields and putting in Diamonds 14 and 15. Diamonds 14 and 15 will be placed on the south side of the property. Mandan Park District also committed $280,000 to upgrade fencing on Diamonds 9, 10, 11 and 12.

The Mandan Baseball Club and Mandan Fast Pitch Club is seeking sponsors for the renovations.
