At the May 13 Park Board meeting, the Mandan Park Board approved equipment bids for Roughrider Park and Legion Park playgrounds. Both bids were awarded to Grondahl Recreation Inc.
The new playground at Roughrider Park is geared towards children 5-12 years old with the option of a 2-5 year old component. The new Legion Park playground equipment will be focused on the 2-5 age group with some components for the 5-12 year old children.
The Legion Park playground bids were evaluated by Mandan Parks staff and Commissioner Mudder. The Roughrider Park playground bids were evaluated by a selection committee comprised of the Roughrider neighborhood residents. The images of the playground equipment features have been adjusted slightly from recommendation from staff and the committee members.
