Pool Rules General Rules Follow all lifeguard instructions No running No diving in the shallow water No diving off the side in the diving area – only from diving boards Stay off starting blocks and bulkhead No food, drink, gum or smoking allowed Lap swimming only in lap lanes Anyone under the age of 7or with a lifejacket must be accompanied in waterby someone over the age of 16 years old There must be two people 16 years of age or older in the water for every 10 children that qualify for the rule above.
