Pool Rules
General Rules
- Follow all lifeguard instructions
- No running
- No diving in the shallow water
- No diving off the side in the diving area – only from diving boards
- Stay off starting blocks and bulkhead
- No food, drink, gum or smoking allowed
- Lap swimming only in lap lanes
- Anyone under the age of 7or with a lifejacket must be accompanied in waterby someone over the age of 16 years old
- There must be two people 16 years of age or older in the water for every 10 children that qualify for the rule above.
- Wet swimming suits are not allowed in the lobby
- Stay off lane ropes
- Shower before entering the pool
- Swim diapers must be worn by those who need them
Slide Rules
- One at a time on slide
- Check mouth of slide for swimmers before sliding
- Feet first entries only
- No holding yourself or stopping on the slide
- Clear catch pool
- No sliding on knees or stomach
- No water wings or inflated tubes on the slide
- Listen to the lifeguards
Diving Well Rules
- The diving well is for diving, swimming lessons and staff instructed water aerobics classes
- A lifeguard must be in the lifeguard chair before entering the diving well
- No free swim in the diving well
- Only one bounce per dive
- Diver must exit straight off the board- not to either side
- Front dives only unless under the supervision of a qualified dive coach
- Swim to the closest side immediately after diving
- Goggles are not permitted on the diving boards due to potential for eye injury
- Water aerobics participants must wear a water jogging flotation belt at all times
