GIRLS & BOYS
Grades K & 1 – 2 & 3 – 4 & 5
K – 5th graders can learn the fundamentals of basketball. Fees for the sport include evening practices, Saturday games, and a t-shirt. The program relies on volunteer coaches. Volunteers keep the price of activities reasonable, allowing all youth the opportunity to play. A coaches clinic will be held before each season for the volunteers. Starting in the school year 2024/2025 Mandan Parks and Recreation will be offering the Youth Basketball Program to kindergarteners and the program will not be offered to 6th graders. Mandan Public Schools plans to offer a 6th grade basketball program. The kindergarten basketball program will be offered during the same timeframe as the 1st grade program (Feb/March). The 2nd – 5th grade program will be offered in the fall season.
